The Best Diet to Lose Weight

Everywhere you turn there are new miracle supplements, diet plans, movie star diets, exercise programs and “weird tricks” to lose weight. It all comes out to essentially the same idea: “eat less and exercise more”, or eat some unappetizing foods that you would never normally eat.

They promise that you will lose weight fast. You may lose the weight, but if you are healthy, and normal, you will regain the weight within a few months to a couple of years. But the Diet Industry wants you to believe that the reason you regain the weight is because you cheated on your diet, you didn’t exercise enough, or you have no self-discipline.

The Diet Industry is lying. It’s NOT YOUR FAULT.

There is one “best diet”: it is NO DIET. Within 2 days of starting to restrict calories (eating less) and increasing your activity level (exercise more) your metabolism will slow down. It’s the way a healthy body protects you from starving – and that’s the way it works all through the animal kingdom. And in fact, the faster you lose weight, the worse it is for your metabolism!

If any diet actually worked, why would there be so many different types of diets? It’s because they all DON’T work. Not Weight Watchers, Jenny Craig, The Biggest Loser…. NONE of them have a better success rate! For 95% of humans who go on a weight loss plan, diets fail miserably. And to make it even worse, every time you go on a diet, and regain the weight, you will add additional weight from your starting point!

That’s what has actually happened to 95% of dieters- they end up gaining weight. Then they go on another diet, and the same thing happens again- and more weight is depositing on your body. That’s the Yo-Yo syndrome. But it’s not caused by lack of discipline- it’s a normal, natural response from your body!  So if you are trying to lose weight, you are actually sabotaging yourself by dieting! Chronic dieting can cause you to become obese, and miserable.
